Privacy/GDPR Statement

Data I hold:
I may allow search engines to index the photos stored on the portfolio galleries on this site. Clients will only be identified by first name. If you wish to use a pseudonym please let me know.

This site is self hosted & protected by Cloudflare and using the WordPress platform. No client data is passed to Cloudflare or WordPress. Despite no information being passed to either, for clarity, the Cloudflare privacy policy can be here: Cloudflare WordPress I was unable to find a specific privacy policy related to the product itself!
I may retain emails/Instant Messages received from clients in relation to enquiries and on-going projects.
Photoshoots I have organised I will request the model signs a model release form, this to protect all of us so we know how the photos will be used before the shoot takes place. This form is processed by Jotform. Their privacy policy can be found here
If the release form is not filled in a number of assumptions will be made and these will be clearly outlined in the shoot plan email.
I retain contact details of those I have worked with either as clients, contacts or suppliers. Email addresses maybe passed onto MailChimp for email campaign purposes. You can unsubscribe from email campaigns by clicking on the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any such email. Additional Mailchimp privacy policy can be found here.
The photos I take and the data I collect, whether in relation to client work or as part of any personal photographic project, are retained within my personal archive.

What I do with this data:
I run a mailing list for those interested in my projects via Mailchimp. This information will likely include your name and email address and if a corporate contact, your place of work. If you have contacted me directly, I may ask if I can add you to such mailing lists. I will never pass your contact details on to third-parties beyond that which is necessary in the functioning of my business, completion of my work for you, or without first seeking your permission. I may occasionally email an existing or past client if I have good reason to do so as allowed under GDPR.
I will sometimes make use of my photos in my online or printed portfolio, within my blog and on social media sites such as Instagram, Facebook, Tiktok and Vero. During initial sharing of media you will be asked if there are any specific images you do not want sharing on social media platforms by myself. This will be respected, but the subject must make this clear at the time. It may be impossible to remove these pictures from platforms years down the line, if for example, I no longer have access to the account or worst case scenario, have died!
The photos I take for my clients are stored online within secure link galleries via pic-time. Other than the pictures, no other personal identifiable information is held by pic-time of my clients. By using the secure-link method this means Pic-time has no requirement to receive your email address. Depending on the requirements of the client, a gallery may remain live for at least 3 months and may remain live for several years on Pic-time. Despite no information being passed to pic-time, for clarity, their privacy policy can be found here.
All the photos I take are stored on offline hard drives as part of my archive, stored offline. All shoots are kept for a minimum 12 months on these drives. After which some shoots may be deleted or kept indefinetly as part of my portfolio of work.
You have the right to request an audit of the information I hold on you as per the GDPR guidelines.
This page may be updated from time-to-time inline with changes to GDPR regulations.
