What I do with this data:
I run a mailing list for those interested in my projects via Mailchimp. This information will likely include your name and email address and if a corporate contact, your place of work. If you have contacted me directly, I may ask if I can add you to such mailing lists. I will never pass your contact details on to third-parties beyond that which is necessary in the functioning of my business, completion of my work for you, or without first seeking your permission. I may occasionally email an existing or past client if I have good reason to do so as allowed under GDPR.
I will sometimes make use of my photos in my online or printed portfolio, within my blog and on social media sites such as Instagram, Facebook, Tiktok and Vero. During initial sharing of media you will be asked if there are any specific images you do not want sharing on social media platforms by myself. This will be respected, but the subject must make this clear at the time. It may be impossible to remove these pictures from platforms years down the line, if for example, I no longer have access to the account or worst case scenario, have died!
The photos I take for my clients are stored online within secure link galleries via pic-time. Other than the pictures, no other personal identifiable information is held by pic-time of my clients. By using the secure-link method this means Pic-time has no requirement to receive your email address. Depending on the requirements of the client, a gallery may remain live for at least 3 months and may remain live for several years on Pic-time. Despite no information being passed to pic-time, for clarity, their privacy policy can be found here.
All the photos I take are stored on offline hard drives as part of my archive, stored offline. All shoots are kept for a minimum 12 months on these drives. After which some shoots may be deleted or kept indefinetly as part of my portfolio of work.
